Off The Field Programs

The WSA is a community based organization, and is pleased to partner with other local organizations to support several off the field programs
Kick For Nick
The WSA is proud to support the Kick for Nick Foundation. Formed to honor the memory of Nick Madaras, a former WSA and WHS soccer player who was killed serving in the armed forces in Iraq, the Kick for Nick Foundation and the WSA partner on several events/initiatives annually:
  • Soccer Ball Collection - This is a year round initiative where new and/or used soccer balls are collected and sent to the soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan to be distributed to the local children.
  • Annual Kick For Nick Memorial Day Soccer Challenge - This an annual event which sees on-the-field action in a round robin soccer tournament. Held right after the Wilton Memorial Day parade on Kristine Lilly Field, this tournament fields the Wilton Ancient Warriors Over-40 Men's soccer team, the Professional Coaches of the WSA, and a team comprised of Nick's former classmates and WHS soccer alumni. Good soccer, good fun, and good fundraising are all part of the action for the day. Don't miss it!
