2011 Nutmeg Invitational
The following information will help with game days. Please take the time to read the details below.
Schedules: Schedules will be posted on the Wilton Soccer Association website (
www.wiltonsoccer.info) but are subject to change, so check back frequently.
Registration: Registration will take place for all teams on Friday, June 10 from 4:30-8:30 pm at Comstock Community Center, 180 School Road, Wilton - Room 11. Teams must bring player passes (you keep), one certified roster (we keep), and one completed player registration/release forms for each player (we keep). Saturday morning registration is limited to teams from outside Fairfield County and must be preapproved with the Director. Those teams must register at the Headquarters tent on Allens Field #3 , at least 1 hour prior to game start time. Please make sure you have the necessary paperwork.
Patches: This is a patch tournament, so be prepared to exchange patches at the end of each game. Each player will also receive a 2011 Nutmeg Invitational patch, which will be distributed to managers at walk in registration.
Trophies & Medals: Managers for U9 and U10 will obtain their players' participation medals at walk in registration. Placement trophies for 1st and 2nd place for U11 and above should be picked up at the conclusion of each division on Sunday, at the Headquarters tent at Allens Meadow Field #3. Please check the scoreboard at the conclusion of your division to see if you have won.
Directions: Directions to all fields are posted on our web site along with a tournament map. Please avoid parking on the roads. Off road parking should be adequate at all sites.
Weather: Games will go on rain or shine. If in doubt, call our Wilton Soccer Association field hotline at 203-221-2216.
Emergencies: Field Marshalls will be available for the duration of each game and can be found on the player's side of the field at the half way line. They will request medical assistance if need be. Wilton police number 203-834-6260. 911 can be used also.
No Dogs: of any size, except service dogs for the handicapped, are allowed at the tournament.
Bathrooms: Porto-Potties available at all fields.
Snacks/Drinks: Available at Allens #3 throughout the duration of the tournament. Local restaurant maps are available on line.
Tournament Apparel: Fine Designs is providing custom tournament apparel on Allens #3. Please look for the $3 coupon for all the players in your registration packet.
Grounds: A playground is available at Cider Mill School on School Road.
Tents: Teams may bring small canopy tents. Please set them up away from the field of play.
Charity Partners/ Sponsors: We will be collecting new and gently used soccer balls for Kick for Nick on Allens #3.
