Soccer Extreme is the coaching organization for our Warrior and Travel Programs.


The Soccer Extreme mission is to help young athletes develop their true potential in the game of soccer by using innovative and proven coaching methods. Soccer Extreme has nationally and internationally licensed staff an educational, safe, and fun environment.


Directors


John Salvatore – Director Of Coaching

John Salvatore is the founder and President of Soccer Extreme. He is a former college coach of two Division 1 programs. At the University of Hartford Woman’s program, they were nationally ranked as high as 4th in the country and had 4 NCAA appearances. While at Yale University‘s Men‘s program for 6 years, he was the 1st assistant, assuming roles of player development, national and international recruitment, game assessments, goalkeeper development, and scouting.

In 2008, John was inducted into Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association “Hall of Fame.” Over the past 17 years, John has helped with the development of seven players who made the U.S. Youth National Team. John has been coaching for 17 years and 7 for the WSA. He has USSF “B” License, NSCAA Premier License, National Youth License and a CBF Brazilian License.

Jorge Arbelaez

Jorge has been coaching 8 years, 3 with the WSA. He has USSF National D License,  ATFA U18 License (Argentina), NSCAA Level 5 Diploma, NSCAA High School Special Topics Diploma.

 

 

 

 

 


Thomas Connolly

Thomas has been working with Soccer Extreme for 5 years but has been involved with soccer since boyhood. He played for several successful clubs in Ireland winning both leagues and cups multiple times. Thomas has coached with the WSA, Wilton High School (boys and girls) and was the head coach of Classical Magnet School Girls Varsity in 2014-2015. Thomas has been coaching 12 years, 5 with the WSA. He has USSF National D License, FAI (Ireland ) Kick-Start 1 and 2.

 

 

 

 


Matt Jessop

Matt played soccer through high school and has been coaching for multiple levels of players for the past 4 years. He enjoys bringing creativity to his sessions with an aim to allow the players to express themselves on the ball. Matt has been coaching for 4 years, 2 with the WSA. He has FA Level 1, FA Disability in Football.

 

 

 

 


James Lewicki

Coach Lewicki played at Wilton HS from 1973 to 1977 and went on to play at Springfield College from 1977 to 1981. He has been involved with Wilton soccer for nearly 40 years. Jim was Wilton High's Boys Assistant Coach from 1992 to 2003 and has been their Head Coach from 2004 to the present. Jim has coached 37 years, 37 with the WSA.

 

 

 

 


Andres Londono

Soccer has been part of Andres' entire life. Currently, he is coaching several teams in Fairfield County from 4 to 13 years old. His passion is developing the techniques required as the foundation for young players to develop. Andres has been coaching 2 years, 2 with the WSA. He has USSF E License, NSCAA Special Topics Diploma

 

 

 

 


Jaime (Jimmy) Ocampo

Jimmy was an Assistant Coach FC Westchester NY and a Head Coach for the Mamaroneck Tornados NY. In addition, he has been Head Coach in Port Chester NY different teams and ages [Boys and Girls] for 16 years. As a player, Jimmy, played Middle School and High School going on to play with Colombian professionals players for several years. He has been coaching 16 years, 1 for the WSA. He has a USSF D License.

 

 

 


Anthony Ramirez

Anthony played high school at Westhill High School and played in Colombia at a high level. He has been coaching 3 years, 1 for the WSA. He has a USSF E License.

 

 

 

 

 


John F. Rios

John has been passionate about soccer since for his whole life. He has been playing soccer since 6 years old. Originally from Colombia, John played semi-professional for Atletico Nacional. After suffering a knee injury at 24, John turned his passion for soccer to coaching. Once in the USA, John began his coaching career with New Canaan working with travel teams as well as the high school program. Next, John worked with Norwalk High School program, the Fairfield travel program and has worked in with the WSA the past 5 years. He has been coaching 22 years, 5 with the WSA. He has USSF National D License,  ATFA U18 License (Argentina),  
NSCAA Level 5 Diploma.

 

 


Terrell Whitting

Terrell has been working with the Wilton Warriors and travel programs since coming to the WSA. Working mostly with the Girls 11/12 teams with much success including coaching them to be Fall Southwest District Champions (2016/2017). 

As a player, Terrell was named All-State at Avon Old Farms and is also the leading goal scorer at the school was nominated for Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year. Collegiately, he began his college career at the UConn claiming a Big East Title before transferring to Post University where the team won multiple regular season titles and NCAA appearances. He has been coaching 3 years, 2 with the WSA. He has USSF F License, USSF E License (pending).
