The Wilton Nutmeg Invitational Tournament, which is our Girls Travel Soccer Tournament held in Wilton each Spring, recently had it 30th birthday in 2011. The Nutmeg Invitational Tournament is rich in history and is a Wilton and WSA tradition.
As a soccer community, we have an opportunity to take the Nutmeg Invitational Tournament to the next level and start a new era of soccer tournament experience in Wilton.
To accomplish this, the WSA Board is currently re-evaluating all aspects of the tournament. To allow time for the Board to form a comprehensive plan and execute that plan, there will not be a tournament held in 2012.
The Board looks forward to many more years of Nutmeg, so please stay tuned for announcements on the plans for future tournaments.
